The Frankfurter Buchmesse (Frankfurt Book Fair) is the biggest books and content fair in the world. Established in 1949, the Frankfurter Buchmesse takes place at the beginning of autumn during the month of October during 5 days, with 3 days dedicated exclusively to professional visitors.
Due to is professional character this fair marks the calendar of most of publishing houses in the world. Inside the different halls with a total size of more than 150.000m2 more than 7000 companies and publishing houses from all over the world are present. Here they present their latest products and negotiate rights and licenses for international works. The services catalogue has evolved throughout the times. Along with the Business Club more conferences and meeting have been created in order to turn this fair into an exchange, networking and exhibition center of the latest trends featuring the International Convention of University Presses and Story Drive Asia, conference held in the Asian continent where latest trends in the publishing world are addressed. Furthermore, from 2016 the Frankfurt Book Fair has a new space called Arts+ focused in the visual culture and creative industries.
